For  the past 3 ½ years.  You did an outstanding  job
and  we are very grateful.

Sandra is serving as District 10 Director for the next
two years and we need to support her as much as possible. We are proud of you Sandra!

We survived  the 100 degree weather with the hope that it does not come back.   Thank you again to everyone that participated in the Strategic Planning Meeting, the event  at Harper’s Park and to those who have already begun their committees for the coming year.

Looks like we escaped IRENE’S furry here, but I know there is lots of damage on the coast.

The Fall Board Meeting for GCNC will be held in Wilmington at the Wilmington Riverside Hotel , September 18-19, 2011.  I hope a lot of you are planning to attend.

October 4, 2011 will be the District 10 Fall Meeting at the Raulston Arboritum under the direction of our District 10 Director – Sandra Dutton.

Our format for the meeting this year will be different.
We will have only snacks which will be available at the beginning of the meeting along with drinks. Go in-serve yourself. Meeting begins at 6:30 PM.  See attached Minutes of Strategic Planning and Listing of Food Groups.

NOTE:   Committee Chairmen:  Please write out your report and once you have given it….give a copy to Judy Tart to go with the minutes record.

The President’s theme for the next two years is “Make a Difference”.  How will we make a difference?  Community Service?  Native Plants?  Scholarships? Education at our meetings? Do you have suggestions?
